Why is old anime art so appealing?
>>
because you're comparing the modern average to the past's peak
>>

Maybe, but there's something about it's aesthetic that's just so nice
>>
>>286749106
it's a matter os personal taste
>>
>>286749106
Because today we have the standard look the newfags and normies think Eastern media should look like. Back in the day there was a lot of experimentation. It's exactly the same with vidya. Every game looks like UE5 asset flip.

True, but when people think of the old aesthetic of animes and games there's always one specific type of style in mind
For example for games it's low poly stuff
>>
When people make art they usually try to make it look good.

what's the style anon because it's certainly not VK
>>
>>286749106
back then people drew for drawing, now most draw for twitter clout
>>
>>286749489
Its something like that style
>>
>>286749507
But the style has changed though. And there's something "nostalgic" about the old style

Straight up because anime girl designs in general are no longer given the care to make your dick hard. The sexuality in character design has been greatly removed and in turn they are simply less attractive. It is like saying water is wet honestly.
In general older anime had characters with a lot more detail, and sexual positions or traits would be visibly emphasized with those details whereas today in many cases its the opposite, those types of traits are instead sanitized.
There are plenty of exceptions though, but the 2 or 3 main standard styles you see today are certainly like this because its cheaper and safer. Also this doesn't apply to stuff like manga at all, those are cheap enough to make that there are none of these problems yet, outside of some faggy editors crying at mangakas to tone it down sometimes.

You post anything on this board and the first response is always someone voicing the exact opposite stance without any substance or clear meaning behind it lol.
Also I was clear that there are plenty of exceptions as soon as you leave the standard styles, but you can't seriously be telling me that a design like this wouldn't look more attractive in most of the older standard styles vs today's standard style.
Even if she's barely wearing clothes, the artstyle itself isn't allowing the attractiveness to actually be emphasized. Perhaps its the lighting, perhaps its the coloring, perhaps its the details, all I can say is that characters do not pop out as much when they go with this kind of cleaner style and in the older styles this issue didn't really seem to exist as I believe the primary focus back then was on attractiveness to appeal to otaku.
The show is still fun regardless.

Stuff like >>286749771 are too cartoonish and their eyes are way too big for me to find them hot
