Kudo parents on the other hand are genius detective and genius actress, with connections one can only dream of, yet they actively ignored a big threat, wasted precious time, and used their abilities to instead aid their still-wet-behind-the-ears son to be the hero of the day.

Takagi may notice Conan is smarter than the average kid, but by no means should he take his word as gospel, especially since it could spell end of his career in case the kid was wrong.

Even if Takagi trusts Conan, being ok with a 6-year old carrying around a narcotic potent enough to instantly knock out a grown man is a bit ridiculous, lol.I think that by having Conan be more bold when using his gadgets on Kogoro (it's happened so many times already I'm fine with him getting straight to the point, although it was fun when he had to hide behind Kogoro and move his hand like a puppet) he forgot he doesn't usually use them in plain sight.
