I had an idea for a Magical Girl "deconstruction" series.The quotation marks are there because it probably isn't actually a deconstruction, but I know people tend to use that term when talking about magical girl media that's darker than they think the average magical girl series is.But I honestly haven't seen/read that many magical girl series, so unless somebody who is more familiar with the genre is willing to put up with hearing my ideas and helping me make something, that's never gonna amount to anything.

And I'm pretty sure there's at least one other pre-Madoka anime that was pretty dark despite being considered a more traditional part of the genre.Plus, my idea isn't super bleak, it's just... mature and nuanced. At least, that's what I'm going for. I wouldn't be surprised if people didn't think it was that great. And it definitely takes a lot of inspiration from several things already, so it isn't the most original. And the title I have in mind probably isn't very good, although it does at least accurately describe a central mechanic.
I sure hope you're reading the author's next series.
