It's no secret that people like Vash the Stampede, Dante from DMC, and Alucard from Hellsing are all obviously heavily influenced by Space Cobra. Even characters like Ragna from BB and Guts from Berserk take some inspirations.

Even going by the words of the authors who publicly name what their actual inspirations. It just seems like people say this because they all have a similiar personality. The reality is though, those character archetypes were just popular during the time. The chad womanizing badass with a big ego and a touch of silly for flavor was extremely common. I say this as someone who also thought they were all just Lupin inspired characters until I actually looked into it.
