EVERYBODY LIVEEEEESSSSSexcept knives
See, pacifism works.
What was the point of this remake?
Considering how increasingly disappointed I was becoming with Stargaze, to the point that I'd almost completely checked out after the previous episode, I thought it was a decent enough finale. I'm still annoyed that they completely dropped Lina and Chronica (especially since this episode confirms that Independents were still encountered elsewhere in this continuity), and I still wish we'd gotten an adaptation of the manga instead.
>>287066276hamfisting some of the more memorable Maximum scenes into a very dodgy retelling. i still liked it though

What a family of absolute units
It's funny to me that Knives lives in the 98 anime when he's the most evil version of the character there.
>>287066834>show ran out of budget and had to use more traditional-looking animation for the rest of the charactersKek.
I guess that's it Rai-Deibros and Dominiquesisters. Gone, forgotten, irrelevant, memory-holed, shafted, not important, never heard from again. Maybe next time (if there is a next time).

Season 1 felt fine with Stampede remixing the story into an arc including Lost July as a big climatic event (the OG including it as this mysterious event that you don't understand until a good ways into the run means it's hard to play the same card again) but Stargaze completely blew its lead by deciding to adapt so much more material from the manga into so few episodes. Something was missing in the production and it was likely the lack of commitment to a third season of this. The budget was already straining by the end of this one. That said, I like this ending way better than the manga ending. I think optimism and journeying are big parts of Trigun and while it wasn't necessarily absent in the manga ending, this show ending with the characters fulfilling their connections to each other and actually leaving No Man's Land together with the migrant fleet instead of Vash remaining as this perpetual loner wanderer the planet felt a lot more fulfilling. I always hated the way his character ended up.
The first season was average, but compared to Stargaze it might as well be a masterpiece. This shit sucked ass, this is where the Trigun anime ended.
>>287069377The original anime as a package is the best but let's not pretend that the ending where Vash and Knives get into a shoot-out leading to Vash filling Knives full of bullets again and carrying him off with a positive narration is a real ending to the setting and its plot.
>>287069377The first season felt like the prologue to a greater story.Except that greater story ended up being rushed drivel.
>>287067079lol. LMFAO, even.
This whole reboot feels like it was made by people who didn't know what a Trigun was and when they were shown images, character profiles, and plot summaries, they came to the conclusion that "Oh, so it's like Naruto, but with guns?" and just watched some selected episodes from the old anime and skimmed the manga and called it a day. Everything about this show is going to have a "Oh yeah, THAT happened..." effect on people whenever someone brings it up years from now.
>>287068421The nips, who never cared for the '98 anime, loved Stampgaze.
>>287069896... maybe it was best that they didn't have a part...

>>287066276MONEY!
>>287066363Wait, they didn't bring Chronica into the story? How did they resolve the Earth intervention and Independent Plants then? That was pretty important to the message.
>>287070090I'd honestly be ok with that. Nobody expects a spinoff game to focus heavily on story (which is the worst part of Stampede) and the 3d models look like they're from a video game anyways.
>>287069534It is, the background conflict was about the resources disappearing which meant the extinction of humans as well but at the very end Vash doubling down on his beliefs tied perfectly with the struggle of people searching for water and finding it giving hope to everyone, it was the perfect ending.
>>287070184The fleet arrived, but Chronica was neither seen, heard nor mentioned.
>>287070032These are my thoughts as well. I liked Nai’s theme/Song of the Plants a lot

>>287070142It was, it was very good but it was more like a spin off LN story. It was great as it's own thing but it did nothing as part of the narrative.

>>287073695Vash looks better like this
>no implcation of wolfwood plapping and impregnating milly soonWhy even survive...
I've only seen season 1 and might watch this in one shot, is Vash's and Meryl relationship as bad as it was in season 1?
>>287066276Giving the studio source material popular enough to actually get people's attention. Houseki no Kuni was a proof of concept for this kind of CGI production but it and Beastars were too niche to really grab the attention of the people in need of convincing.
>>287073939Don’t worry, I’ll do it instead
I liked the climax of the finale but I felt like they paced it wrongly. There should have been a little bit more push and pull between the brothers before going into Vash's double suicide pact. The epilogue felt too expositional after those intense emotions. I think showing the grave as lead in to the exposition would have worked better. The payoff for the Plant Song was beautifully handled. Having the final version of it be a more harmonious choral rendition of it didn't just sell the scene itself but recontextualizes what Knives' piano playing meant. Coming from him alone it can be taken as someone desperately calling for others for help or solace and hearing the Plants sing it as answer to Meryl's pleas is devastating for Knives who's never heard back from them. The final talk between Vash and Knives was also good and heartfelt. It doesn't quite excuse how frustrating it was to keep watching him do stupid things to adhere to his pacifism and positivity but it does help bring viewers a bit closer to relating to Knives there. Vash's suicidal empathy has always brought him harm and Knives earnestly not wanting Vash to keep needlessly suffering, especially for his sake, works great as a closer to his story arc. Since Vash can't accept murder as an answer to their problems, having Knives eliminate himself to give Vash a better answer and wiping his slate clean for him sells love for one another being their primary motives. I'd have touched up the dialogue to be less awkward and have knives act more frustrated and crushed at Vash going that far for him though.
Well, that was that. It had a strong start but trying to remix but also fit most of Maximum's key plot points in such a short episode count hurt it really bad. By Leonof's episode you could tell that they were rushing badly. Hopefully we eventually get a straight adaptation next time in a few decades now that Nightow got the alternate universe thing he wanted

All this show did for me was remind me og Trigun exists, so I guess that's nice
The worst anime of the season title was between Trigun and Darwin but I think Darwin ended up having a few "entertaining" moments, Trigun wins.
>>287082888>self-reporting that you like isekaislop and shoelacerwank
This has to be the first season of an anime I've ever seen where everyone jobs to everyone and then it kinda just ends. At least in the first season there were a few actual fights, this one is just everyone fighting each other while trying as hard and as fast as possible to not fight each other. I swear I've waited the entire season for Milly to use her gun again in some cool way and this was it? One singular shot to block a nail and then it's right back to>No, wait, this is the season finale, we can't start fighting now! There was absolutely no point to this season's story or any of its conflicts.
>>287069991>The nips, who never cared for the '98 anime, loved Stampgaze. No they didn't, It was the 3rd lowest rated show on Nicolive.

Well, that was the worst build up season ever, season 3 better deliver something really good.
Can someone tell me how the manga ended?
>>287066276I think the author wants peace in Japan. It seems that Vash definitely represents the left, and Knives represents the right. The author criticizes both, and wants the left to understand the right, and the right to stop trying to solve all problems by forceThe right is creating something important like Knives created Oasis, but it's the left's job to support it and never forget the sacrifice of the right

>>287066230Already said it elsewhere but the story feels like a version of Trigun where the good guys roll a 20 on every risky decision they makeI don't like how we're supposed to sympathize with Knives doing what he did because "he was lonely" (his revenge aside) when he has a group of loyal followers who love and revere him, what kind of message is that? Also what kind of message is it sending when Vash pulls the Trigger on Legato, the bullet is intercepted and then the bad guy beheads him for Vash, that's not a "thematic triumph" for Vash's pacifism and sends a message of "just wait until someone else does the dirty work for you".I think all these narrative changes were only made to serve the purpose of yassifying the male characters into cute boys to sell merch to fujos. They do no wrong, they never hook up, they never die and sometimes their behavior is borderline infantile.
Does Vash do fucking ANYTHING this season? I remember s1 had a bunch of clips of him fighting with his fists and using his gun as a melee weapon. What the fuck happened?

>>287091908
>>287089363Well they fucked up big time there. Aside from momentary celebrations for Wolfwood's survival there's a general feeling of disdain for Stargaze. The LR fangirls are pissed as hell, the Legato fans are seething at his method of execution and lack of backstory, chestburster Vash only contributes so much when there's a total lack of apple tree or any of Vash's feelings shown/explained before the lover's suicide. The only people thriving in this economy are the Midvalley fans who are acting like the last few episodes never happened. The complaints have been going on for most of the season and the lead up to the finale was full of defeated resentment. Fujos will live on delusions, but Stargaze's contribution was to force everyone to imagine things that it never gave.
There's a truth that most Trigun fans can't cope with. The original anime is better than the manga
>>287093515I honestly get the vibe that even the fujos they're trying to pander to here are probably not all that happy with the lame writing, if that's what you're saying
>>287088952It's a masterpiece of the tragedy genre basically
>>287093515>>287093997Like, I'm unfortunately exposed enough to fujo to be familiar with the term "doomed yaoi" and I imagine even if they played things straight and Wolfwood actually died you'd probably still get more of a positive reception out of fujos than playing it so incredibly safe and with very little drama
>>287089363>we're supposed to sympathize with Knives doing what he did because "he was lonely" (his revenge aside) when he has a group of loyal followers who love and revere him, what kind of message is that? The message is that he missed Vash, anon. Come on. It wasn't hard. And as a wise man once said, admiration is the further thing from understanding. >Also what kind of message is it sending when Vash pulls the Trigger on Legato, the bullet is intercepted and then the bad guy beheads him for Vash, that's not a "thematic triumph" for Vash's pacifism and sends a message of "just wait until someone else does the dirty work for you"It says that Knives loves Vash and doesn't want him to change anymore. Still bad writing though, for me Vash shooting the bullet is character assasination regardless of whether it reached Legato or not. It shouldn't have happened, period. >I think all these narrative changes were only made to serve the purpose of yassifying the male characters into cute boys to sell merch to fujos. >They do no wrong, they never hook up, they never die and sometimes their behavior is borderline infantileThat's dumb then, there's nothing fujos like more than doomed yaoi. Hell it's the reason trigun fujos existed even before the anime got out.
>>287094399>The message is that he missed Vash, anon. Come on. It wasn't hard.Yeah you're right. Still think it's weak, sometimes japanese media is a little too obsessed with making you sympathize with a villain over a small thing like "I'm lonely and miss my brother". Yeah sure, it's nice to give the added dimension, but it felt like this was supposed to make him wholely sympathetic now - yeah not really bro
>>287093997It's like a monkey's paw situation>Vash and Wolfwood get to have their happy ending >But it's the worst version of the characters and they have 0 chemistry
>>287094478>sometimes japanese media is a little too obsessed with making you sympathize with a villain over a small thing like "I'm lonely and miss my brother"Can't say I mind personally it's something I love about it haha>Yeah sure, it's nice to give the added dimension, but it felt like this was supposed to make him wholely sympathetic now - yeah not really broNot to mention many were sympathizing with Knives back in Stampede anyways. Stargaze laid it on a bit too thick and it felt less effective at making Knives sympathetic if anything. Then again the biggest problem for me wasn't Knives sending non verbal messages of distress, that's his right, it was Vash having a breakdown epiphany over Knives being lonely because he kept the info about Rem from him. Really strange to see. Knives has never hidden the fact he was trying to protect Vash in his own fucked up way. It was the main revelation of the climax of Stampede, the reason why he crashed the ships. Okay the fact that he kept Rem's involvment to himself is a big piece of info, but should Vash really be so surprised Knives cares about him? Weird as fuck. The change in writers is too obvious.
>>287094714Genuinely turning Wolfwood into a robot would have been better
>>287093997Yep, I should have clarified further. LR refers to Livio after the Crimson Nail fight, when Razlo and him share the body on friendly terms, but Stargaze didn't do this shit at all so selfcest is off the menu, LR and adult Elendira with a penis is off the menu because she never grew up and fought him, and Vash is off the menu because Wolfwood is still alive. The Midvalley fans mainly pair him with Legato, if you've seen '98 then you know they were touring bars together for a while, and they were excited at the prospect of a timeline where Midvalley and Legato live to become a dysfunctional couple. And the apple tree was THE fandom symbol of Knives' love for Vash, which would have been so easy to leave in the ending Stargaze gave but they wanted to give KV the middle finger after all that I guess.
>>287095650Thanks for the insight haha, it's like a glance behind the curtain. I'm not into this stuff at all but I kinda respect it, at least on the consumer side. What i don't respect is the pandering attempts by the studio and how flat it felt, guess my feelings are confirmed in that regard

>>287088952It's been a while so I might me missing some things but these are the changes that I remember regarding only the final fight. I recommend reading it it for yourself but whatever.>Knives dabs on the Earth fleet and destroys most of the ships. The survivors land on the planet>Vash is the one that connects with Knives' absorved plants and depowers him. The whole feather rain thing still happens>Vash and Knives fight. Vash wins but doesn't finish the job and instead saves him from the remnants of the fleet. They run away>They find refuge with a farmer that helps them recover and hide. Knives uses the last of his energy to create an apple tree as thanks and dies>Vash remains a wanted man and now has the Earth forces on his ass in addition to the bounty hunters and thugs that were already pursuing him. The manga ends with everyone chasing him including Meryl and Milly
>>287093580I don't disagree. Maximum is still worth reading, but a lot of the ideas that it expands upon fall a bit flat, like Wolfwood being a literal manchild fueled by super drugs or Legato being a sex slave and later cripple with his magical psycho-threads.
>>287099609I frankly appreciate the attempt to give Wolfwood and Legato more backstory (the latter didn't even have one in the 98 anime), but I think the 98 anime being more down-to-earth and ambiguous on some things added more charm that provoked more thought out of it. Maximum was great with the action, though.
>>287099141Did he do that as a protective measure for Vash?

>>287100325More like a preventive one so Vash wouldn't see humanity get destroyed apparently but after his plan collapsed he still tried to keep Vash inside anyways.
>>287088952It's the same in broad strokes. Knives tried to take out approaching Earth fleet for most of the same reasons, a big coalition of powers attempted to take him down, Livio kills Eleanora (who is a completely different character here), Vash actually kills Legato, Vash and Meryl manage to communicate with the Plants who abandon Knives in mass, and Vash and Knives have a final showdown that ends with Knives conceding and them flying off together. Biggest difference is that after the final battle, the Earth fleet gets pissed off that Knives (who managed to destroy a bunch of ships in the manga) flew off so they blamed Vash and Knives. Vash goes back to being wanted and Knives uses the last of his power to make a fruit tree for the humans who saved Vash from his injuries and died.Oh and Wolfwood died way before then but you probably knew that.

Maybe I'm too woke but leaving out Legato's backstory felt actually fucked up. Damn. You're redeeming everyone and their mom but won't spend even five minutes at least showing the audience why he's so psychopathic and devoted to Knives? They wanted a happy end for all to the point that they forcefully kept Wildwood alive even though the narrative was begging for him to die while also actively avoiding even touching upon child sexual abuse? When childhood trauma is such a huge theme in trimax to begin with as well? Man...
>>287066230I thought season 1 was fantastic with decent action scenes and a nice retelling of Trigun. Also Stampede wasn’t viewed fairly because /a/nons hated Vash’s zoomer haircut. But what the fuck was this? Stargaze sucked ass. That director change destroyed what was built up in Stampede.
>>287067391I was waiting for HT the whole time.

>>287101254>You're redeeming everyone and their mom but won't spend even five minutes at least showing the audience why he's so psychopathic and devoted to Knives? It's worse than that anon, they retconned his backstory between the lines. The origin of his devotion has been changed to going through the eye of michael brainwashing and training and taking it seriously before meeting Knives at all.So disappointing.
wrong pic
>>287101501I remember telling Legatofags his time would come in S2, I feel bad.
>>287101816Stargaze just hinted that Legato was possibly raised by the Eye of Michael and was told to revere Vash and Knives as gods IIRC.
>>287101816Raising him? Wasn't he like 15 in the manga when he picked him up?
Legato's design is mid but his 3D hands are really nice
For me it was really jarring when Legato suddenly went Bruce Lee on Vash & WW's asses along with a weird whip-like shield weapon, that made it seem like it would attach to his back into his spin and ribs and give him some sort of powerup. But nothing of the sorts and then he remembers he has OP psi-powers and pins Vash & WW to a wall. THEN I was thinking Vash had some sort of anti-psi technique practiced when he was captive and Legato was using psi on him for days. But again nothing. Knives appears and takes over the battle. The end.
>>287101254It's very bizarre. Midvalley, Leonof, Elendira, Gray, and Zazie all live, with some of them getting happy endings, but Legato just gets killed indiscriminately by Knives and forgotten about. Not to mention he seemed to be the least respected among Gung-Ho Guns. It's like the people who made this hated the guy.
>>287102038I was more bothered that they kept fighting despite establishing several times neither party wished to kill the other and that most of the time there wasn't even a third party to protect or save. Of course it was all a set up to Legato forcing Vash to shoot him 3 episodes later but wow that was a long, painful, and unnecessary setup. Not to mention I hate this development it's pretty much as if young Brad or Wolfwood was writing the show. Leave Vash alone, he's not supposed to budge, evolve, or become someone else unless that someone is Jesus.
>>287102038Legato's abilities were always overpowered, to the point in the manga where Legato basically gave Vash a cheat code if he defeated all the Gung-Ho Guns that would nerf his powers. The old anime had Legato wanting to die and not fight Vash to break his spirit. Stargaze just had him fight Vash, Wolfwood, and Livio, before getting clowned by Vash and being forced to actually use his powers.

>>287102081It's perhaps weird to say this considering I'll gladly look up fansrt of Legato all gored out but it seems a bit in bad taste to me to avoid fleshing out the one character with the brutal sexual trauma out of all the cast. I know this is not touched upon on 98, but it seems to me they were basing stargaze more on the manga than the anime anyway. Sucks ass anyway.
>>287066230Good Riddance
>>287066230>assassinating Rem's character in the final episode.Garbage. This whole thing was garbage.
>>287106702its not like she stopped it in the manga and Vash even shanked her for it.
>>287107213But Vash knew about it and she told him about her regret. Vash didn't co-opt Tesla's trauma as his own like Knives did.
>>287097782I thought the ending was depressing just because I'm a big Naifag but realized that Vash essentially gives up/is broken to the point of being suicidal and it's never even addressed. Even Nai is like what the fuck and immediately kills himself instead f4chan
>>287101535Yeah, wouldn't want to remind me of anything good
>>287100801All stargaze did was sell me on the bottom Nai agenda
>>287097782I thought it was to transport himself and Knives's giant mass to the higher dimension like in season 1.
OH GOD ITS 3D SLOPITS "MODERN AUDIENCE" and "THE MESSAGE" and 3D SLOPIT'S 100% FUCKING GARBAGE.
IM 5 MINUTES IN TO E01 AND ITS 100% FUCKING GARBAGEWHAT IS THIS SHIT WHY DID THEY MAKE IT
>necrobumping threads for anime you don't like
>>287111942lmao ur mad cus its bad
Finally.I didn't watch it and have no intention to.Can we get an adaptation of the manga without shitty 3DCG animation and shitty redesigns like Vash's now, pretty please?
>>287112303Real Trigun is what this generation's Frieren should've been, so no we will never get Trigun as a truly adapted manga. The best you'll ever have is Total Slaughter.
Bro this shit is PATHETIC!What the fuck!!!!
>>287112303I'll settle for a Vomic at this point.
>>287112392Tristamp Vash is endearingly pathetic. Trigaze Vash is just fucking stupid.
>>287112353>1998 Trigun is SoL comedic cowboys fixing a broken world's past>Frieren is just boring elf with magic TrigunHoly fuck.Holy fuck.I see it.It all makes sense. We've all ben robbed.
Lmao this nigga just did the equivalent of turning the lightsaber off and on again in the middle of a duel
this show is so bad I would rather keep Matt Walsh's "What is a Woman" on my hard drive, and I hate Matt Walsh.
>dbs tier powerlevel aurafaggots have entered the chat
>>287112721It;s called Tràkata fyi
Can someone explain how logical reasoning can be twisted to make it seem that knifes somehow saved humanity
>MangaBest plot>98Cutest shotas>StampedeMost fuckable Vash>Stargaze???Say one good thing about this season.
>>287112706And unlike Frieren, Trigun actually has a sense of earnest coolness to it.
>>287066230Wait did wolf wood survive????
If wolfwood lived that's good enough for me
She was easily the worst thing about this trainwreck season.
>>287114205She cute what's wrong with her
>>287114234Nothingburger character who adds nothing to the story besides being super annoying. She literally gets in the way of Vash's interactions with Meryl and Wolfwood at the most important moments for their development. At the end of the last episode, she had more interactions with Vash than Wolfwood did, making the fact that he survived somewhat irrelevant.
What I would fix:Keep the Hoppard 2 parter, that was kinoHave Hornvalley and Leonov be a combo fight, 2 episodes (a battle for Home)Add Maximum Legato backstory, 1 episodeExpand Elendira, give her the Livio/Razlo fight but keep the the resolution with Meryl which was pretty good. Add more scenes with wolfwood and vash, they hardly interacted.Add Zazie vs Kniveseverybody lives including knives
>>287115352The problem, anon, is that you put more thought into this reply than the entire writing team into the whole season, I'm afraid.
>>287112392tbf this was one of the worst moments of Stampede, but somehow the balance between cringe absurd and serious was better there.>>287112640Stargaze Vash was barely onscreen it felt like, half the time he was captured or absorbed.>>287114205her annoying over the top DEI design made it seem like she was gonna become the deuteragonist and bail out Vash everytime (like Penny in Insp. Gadget) but like many characters, she ended up doing a whole lot of nothing.
>>287115352If they were going full faggotry, they should've kept Knives alive, but with reduced gay alien powers. He could've lived the rest of his life quietly seething on the back of a Chocobo with Vash while everyone else tolerates him
>>287066230the opening is so fucking bad in season 2
>>287118895the OP was bad, the ED was bad, and everything inbetween.
>>287118965I liked the op in season 1. Probably the only thing I liked
>>287118895I thought it was an accident or parody or something. Maybe Stargaze was intentionally shit
>>287114205SHE WAS THE BEST ACTRESS OK
>>287112392kwab
She was easily the best thing about this trainwreck season
shame they only tried with the first season and then they completely fucked up in the second season
Knives dragon https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=EIOVk0CqgbI&si=o-J5eWQA9bas1DVhThe first 90s are the worst thing i ever heard, but the last 60s are the best thing i ever heard
>>287123092>doesn't really do anything>has OP power>about to kill one of the mc's>becomes sad>heel face turnmeh.
>>287123294She's just a baby
This was the song I was waiting for. You did good, Leonofbros.https://youtu.be/CaEag8cU89U?si=GI9OgMIJOSP3IES2
>>287123294She was supposed to become older via a timeskip before the director changed.
>>287123196A terrible timeline for trigun fans. Season 2 really shit the bed.
>>287112392This moment with Vash is more entertaining than the entirety of season 2
The first season was peak. This second one not so much, maybe because of the change of director. Also, the Knives theme is so good.
>>287125230Unironically true>>287126104Also true. It's such a shame, stampede was genuinely good and I actually liked the redesigns, sucks that we will never get to see peak with these versions of the characters </3
Guess we're giving this remake the Darker than Black s2 treatment
>>287123294Not the worst thing about the show. Elendira is emotionally immature so it's fine, unironically
Finally, I'll start read manga
>>287069534Nah it's fine.
>>287099545>They run awayKey missing detail here is that Vash is left in a coma after the experience, so it was Knives who carried him around and begged the farmer to help Vash recover. Knives dies creating the apple tree before Vash even woke up, making his rescue of Vash and resulting death more bittersweet. Also Vash being chased around is framed more positively as if life goes on.
>>287127884It's perfect, Vash deciding to stop running away and be there not only to stop Knives but to be always with him and give him the emotional support he needed.
>>287127884There should've been an OVA taking place after the end of the old anime. Knives being alive and living among the humans after being defeated and wrangled by Vash needed to be elaborated on.
>>287128361The only version of Vash who saved his Knives.
>There is no islam or judaism or hindi in the world of Trigan, only christianityIt gives hope....
>>287094399>for me Vash shooting the bullet is character assasination regardlessI actually thought this too. I was shocked when he fired and it wasn't some 5D chess to ricochet the bullet off something. And then this is just never addressed again? Shouldn't Vash at least be haunted by this decision? I didn't hate this adaptation but there were some very curious decisions in it.
>>287128726It was just a cheap way to reference the source material. They really didn't need these scenes teasing Vash killing Legato, but it's recognizable to the IP, so it's in. Now clap.
>>287113158>StargazeMost spectacular moments, maybe?
>>287106702>>287107213>>287107716And this was a reboot. It's normal that some shit was different. Fuck, Wolfwood is alive and well in the end.
>>287102407>>287118965The ED was fine but it was also completely irrelevant and contributed nothing to how we felt at the end of an episode. Comparing it with the Stampede EDs makes it painfully clear how empty the choices were.>>287117872Black haired Knives who's bad at riding toma and has to be tied on to contrast with how Stampede staff literally studied horse riding techniques to show Vash being skilled at it.
>>287084698>>287086147>My source is a 4chan chart

>>287133054Nai absorbed him into his womb so there's that at least
>>287130392>>287133109He could just go check on Nico himself and fact check me and easily boast if the chart is wrong, he wont though because is a lazy retard and he will quickly realize nothing in the posted chart is a lie.
>>287130889*Best fight scenes you can easily make outBecause nothing tops Livio/Razlo's fights in Maximum.
>>287134103>Vash tenderly touching that womb before making a hydrogen bomb to double-suicideI'm going to miss how specifically odd these fags were
>>287137553I feel like the fights in Maximum made more internal logic sense to me than whatever the fuck Sonic Adventure snowboarding level happened in Stargaze.
>>287113158>Stampede>Most fuckable VashAbsolutely not
>>287127884I literally sit like Knives
>>287139740They're correct though, he is the most fuckable and cutest Vash.
>>287101985>Legato's design is midDefinitely Maximum>98>Stargaze hereI miss the implication he had Vash's old arm and that he got carried around as a quadriplegic in a coffin by some rando throughout MaximumAnd just carried, the scene where he's at some dinner table and trying to slurp his steak off a plate with no hands while the rest of the Gung Ho guns just blather on around him was great
>>287143124I don't think he had Vash's arm in the manga, that was entirely from the old anime and how he got his powers there.Legato basically has multiple interpretations for how his abilities work. In the anime it was Vash's arm, in the manga it was metal strings in his brain, and in Stampede/Stargaze he uses that skull-shaped device on his shoulder.
>>287130889Lmao the finale of Stampede clears any fight scene in Stargaze.
>>287092263>It definitely lacks the part where Vash ties Knives up in an attic and reforms him. What kind of reformation with what techniques are we talking about here
>>287143911Trigun 98 was more or less a scene for scene adaptation of the manga before they veered off towards the end, so my headcanon was that Legato had Vash's arm in both series, it just wasn't the source of his powers. It'd just be neat if his paralysis was from rejecting an independent plants arm, but he refuses to get rid of the arm Knives gave him out of sheer dedication and autism. Its in line with sacrificing his own life forcing Vash to kill him just to further Knives's plan
Why did Knives lose?
>>287144771Wasn't Legato paralyzed in the manga because Knives broke his spine or something?
>>287144771That goes beyond headcanon to fanfiction/au.
>>287144055True>>287145356Yeah>>287144907Unironically too woke for the narrative
>>287145356Knives broke Legatos everything>>287145981Legato desperately wanted the role that Knives wanted Vash to want, grafting the arm on and it killing him is just thematically appropriate
>>287146085In the old anime, Legato attached Vash's arm to himself because Vash refused to be by Knives' side and had no problem being killed and even welcomed it. That version of Legato was very nihilistic compared to his other counterparts and even insulted himself for being human.
>>287138904Stargaze had nothing to offer narratively and character-wise and covered it up with fight scenes and "radical" moments.
>>287146085I mean it doesn't make sense for knives to put the arm on legato in manga if it doesn't give him powers and it doesn't make sense for knives to take in shota slave legato (who would have been powerless pre-arm) in 98
Why did plants help people and go against Knives?
>>287147659Because knives is partially responsible for big fall
>>287147659LOVU ANDU PEACU!! ,\/,,
>>287146377It had like three fights so it's not even that
>>287149973>three fightsVash vs. HoppardVash vs. LeonofWolfwood vs. MidvalleyWolfwood vs. Gray (short)Wolfwood vs. RazloVash, Wolfwood, and Livio vs. Legato and Gray Vash vs. Knives That's 7 fights. Then we have action scenes like Home defending itself from the Ark, Legato restraining Vash, and Elendira chasing Meryl and Milly.
>>287144907Didn't mindbreak Vash hard enough
>>287066254* If you're literally immortal and can dodge bullets
>>287147659They love being enslaved because being free makes them lonely apparently
>>287066230Even Legato?
>>287071766Nightow is very much a creator who is fine with people adapting his work their own way. If they adapted it a way he didn’t like he’d definitely be more vocal.
>>287066230>Modern revisionist slopfest
>>287151873That was supposed to be the underlining criticism of Vash's ideals. He wasn't a human and was more powerful than them, so he could easily uphold his standards since no human is able to take him out.
>>287128425Honestly that would have been a better way to conclude it all.
>>287138822It’s just normal Plant Biology at work!
>>287084698Reminder that this shit is weighted averages. On this chart 1 vote of 10/10 would be ranked as "more popular" than a 1,000,000 votes of 9/10.I honestly have no clue why this retard isn't banned for constantly making those shit threads and posting that shit constantly.
