I'm not too bothered. Sucks for the anime onlys but I can wait it out. The first stage made me kind of wish the story kept that energy and pacing. The race was really fun but it has to spiral out into something grander and more "JoJo". The race is still a big part of course but it feels more background as the part progresses. Also it sucks that so many characters are essentially shelved for a good while. Sandman doesn't do much until his big arc, Pocoloco barely exists, Mountain Tim is killed off early.

For example, imagine if Tooru was a character from the beginning, popping in every once and a while at seemingly strange moments, if stuff like flashback man were removed, retcons resolved, the epilogue is replaced with Josuke leaving to find more fruit to save Holly, etc. What's the minimum number of changes you have to make, while keeping the overall structure, to make it good?

The batches weren't even the biggest issue with Stone Ocean's release schedule.It was that they took fucking forever to even announce the release date of the next one, the fact they were batches just made it worse when it did come out.The fact they're doing this exact same thing again is the problem.
