The opening arc was so Tomoro-heavy it pretty much rendered Reina and Makoto irrelevant, which I can understand, but it made me wonder at times why they were even there. Given a rival each to bounce off, they improved big time. Reina physically stopping Ludomon to stop Granit killing himself, and Makoto diving in to save Hotaruko shows that they can be useful. Even Tomoro improved with Raito and managed to have the genius save him.The darkness around Tactics, Klay's evilness and Seraphy's sycophancy were brilliant as well, if let down by the sloppy handling of the Black Market Auction episode. That and Little Courage (the latter far more understandable) were the only real weak spots of the arc for me.On a more personal note, I really really hope we see Hotaruko and Shakomon again. She's one of the best Digimon girls for years and her clam was adorable. I'd be so disappointed if we don't see her telling her family the truth, I think she needs to do that for complete closure. Doing it off screen would leave a sour taste.

There's a decent chance that the Beatbreak starter deck releasing May 15th in Japan will spoil Gekkomon's mega. If not then possibly the Dual Revolution booster packs releasing on the 22nd (with the possibility of Pristimon and Chiropimon's megas too). That pack is releasing after episode 31 airs, unless there's a break early on in May. I think there's a good chance that both Pristimon and Chiropimon will get their perfects before the booster packs have a chance to spoil them, though it's always possible that marketing spoils them earlier like they did with Murasamemon's mega.

Normally in Digimon when an antagonist appears to be defeated but it turns out the fight wasn't over yet they usually do it by evolving and getting stronger (see Myotismon or Lucemon), but it's a different to appear to have been defeated and still being a threat with the form you have originally (in this case, Proganomon), I liked he showed he was one of the Five Stars for a reason and he and Proganomon ended up being worthy final bosses of the first half of the show. He was a piece of shit, but you cannot say he was an enemy who was defeated easily.

Quick but not a surprise whatsoever given it's the end of the arc.Klay Arslan is in MCP jail, Proganomon is now back as a Baby I level, and the Five Stars have now become the Four Stars. But it's also the last time we'll get real participation from all the members of Tactics Team Seven. The emotionally distant protective refugee Luka (a.k.a. "Granit"), the beautifully brutal okonomiyaki cook Hotaruko Kanuma, and the inimitable replicator savant genius that is the one and only Raito Souda. Also Klay's loyal gay lover Seraphy Naito, but he's probably dead now. I'll certainly miss them as antagonists, they were all great at it and Klay himself an incredible villain. Here's hoping the remaining Stars can be anywhere close to Klay's standard. I doubt it though.Next week we're on a nice boat for the first of three interval episodes before the story picks up again.
