Sakuna, Needy Girl Overdose and Gnosia got anime adaptations so there's definitely a chance something will come out of this. Have you played any?
For me it's Death Mark
blue archive
Is Urban Myth Dissolution Center any good? It seems to be very popular with Japanese devs and Otaku but no one else.
>>287089705I love it, the graphics and music are incredibly stylish and the writing is fun, though I enjoy those dumb ass internet ghost stories the game focuses on so I'm biased there.
>>287089589>Urban Myth Dissolution CenterThis game was good at first, then became a slogfest. but the ending plot twist is insane.
Is Paranormasight indie? I guess not.
>>287089824Nah, developed and published by Square Enix.
>1. Urban Myth Dissolution CenterShueisha>3. Azure Striker Gunvolt TrilogyInti Createsnot indies
>>287089589I've never heard of any of these. Are they actually games or just VN / H game slop?
>>287089859I think they know better than you
I love Gunvolt but the action is so flashy that an anime adaptation would need a ridiculous budget and staff or it would suck. Case in point, the old OVA prologue for the first game was very mediocre and I wouldn't want a whole show like that.
>>287089880I don't think any of them is a VN. UMDC is the closest but it's an investigation adventure game, the rest are mostly action and puzzle. A couple are pure meme games.
>>287089897Isn't Gunvolt just basically Megaman?
What is that one about the shots coming down from the 8th floor of a building and all the monster girls try to fuck him?
>>287090035With way busier character designs and powers. The protagonist shoots lightning, the rival zips around with a jetpack and so on, definitely not the easiest thing to animate.
>>287089859Indie is Japanese for corposlop. Independent games are doujinludo.
>>287090035It's based on Megaman Zero series, which probably one of the hardest and most fast paced entries in the series.
>>287089589>IZONAoi Yuuki and Yoshimasa Hosoya voice the two characters so they'd obviously fit an anime, but the designs aren't flattering. The game itself felt very cheap and amateur, though it had solid atmosphere and gameplay ideas. But it wasn't a complete story, and I don't know if they've said when to expect the continuation
>>287090206I haven't played any of the games IN OPs image but your picture does catch my attention, maybe I'll look at getting it next steam sale
>>287090550Oh there's a demo, and it's only 18.95 AUD
I bet Jasmine would become popular if UMDC got animated, she's awesome.
we already have the mangahttps://mangaplus.shueisha.co.jp/viewer/1024077
>>287090864Japan is getting a ton of novels too, from adaptations of the game to original episodes.
>>287090864Nice main themehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rAA-1LUI_M
>>287090864That color page is atrocious, I can't see Azami and Ayumu with anything but blue hair and pink-haired Jasmine instead of blonde is especially bad.
we want Kemono Teatime anime
>>287089619This>>287091047Or thisCan't go wrong with either imo
>>287089619Death mark would be butchered in anime format it would be good in manga format though
>>287091047I would dive into traffic if it meant being able to replay ASTLIBRA without memories. The perfect game for me.
>>287090864at first i thought the middle was a guy
>>287089859every gunvolt game's budget is a couple sticks of gum and assorted loose change so I'll give it a pass
>>287089589>1. Urban Myth Dissolution CenterGreat choice, I'd love to see it animated.
>>287089589>Maid cafe on Electric Street not on the listCome on, it's the perfect setting for a anime.
>>287089589How do I make an indie game that will get me contacted for an anime adaptation?Seems more plausible to pull off as a westerner than trying to make a manga.
>>287091727Had a crossover with UMDC too.>>287091789Be Toby Fox probably.
>>287090081People just want to fap to shotas like normal straight men would
>>287091837Valid but the GV games exude the feel they desperately want to be an anime. They've got dialogue going on all throughout gameplay, attack cut-ins, music powerups with idol songs blasting once you reach a certain score etc.
>>287091810I knew this game was great when those two showed up and a background character referenced Kemono Friends.
>>287089589Based
>>287093070why is nearly every fanart for this game is yuri?
>>287093169The game itself doesn't have romance but the leads are extremely shippable and the ending heavily reinforces it, though I won't say any more because spoilers. The devs themselves encourage it, this is an official music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2vDrTV-qV4
>gunvolt anime>it's just endless cute girls getting brutally murdered and mutilated
>>287093446I'll take sexy merch of girls who die in the same episode they're introduced in, thanks.
>>287090035It's a pale imitation of the Megaman games Inti Creates used to make
>>287093169A side effect of the ending minbreaking the fanbase kek
>>287089589>9. Hotel BarcelonaI'm a Suda51fag but this really didn't look good. Has anyone played it?
>>287089589>no Astlibra anywhereHoly gay.
>>287091047>>287095266I think the nominees had to be games released/previewed in 2025: https://anime-japan.jp/activities/ajgameranking/This is the first time they do this ranking. Even though it's clearly inspired by the "manga we want to see animated" ranking, it doesn't seem like the nominees were free like in that one. BitSummit picked them, then you could vote. Kinda sucks for earlier indie games, hopefully they change how it works next year. I'm sure people would vote for ancient stuff like Cave Story if they could.
>>287093169the game goes fucking retard in the ending
>>287089705It's a game for girls.
>>287089619I miss Mary... I can still hear her welcoming me back home
i want this as Anime.... beatiful funny game....
>>287089589When did people start ranking from 1 to 10 instead of 10 to 1?Isn't better to say the winner at the end?
>>287096861What's it like? I saw it and it seems interesting.
>>287096898Villainess beheaded and isekaed to hell... literally animetons of gags musical scenes... gameplay is very shit btw
>>287096898Also game from creator of Disgaea and illustrator of Rezero (main character literally looks like from Rezero)
>>287089589I used to think I'm an expert on the topic, but I legit can't recognize any of these games except Sausage Legend... what's going on, I am really getting THAT old?
I want to say Raging Loop but I don't know how would they handle the messy ending>>287091047The story for this is basically a manga published by Magazine so it could definitely work, God I really wasn't expecting to like this game as much as I did>>287089619The problem with this is adaptating the ghost designs, it needs a really good studio but the devs definitely don't have enough budget for a good anime, so we would need a good studio with good budget basically requesting to adapt it themselves like how it happened with GNOSIA
>>287097131Ratatan is just legally distinct Patapon from its creator, if you know that series.
>>287089589>Sausage Legend: ArenaDoes this even have a plot?
>>287097688I thought this would be Genital Jousting 2.0 but they wield actual sausages on a stick.
>>287095575>>287093748Use spoiler tags and spoil me.
>>287098157You need the full context to understand. The MC is the blue-haired girl. She gets roped into working for the UMDC and investigate urban myths by its director, the creepy blue-haired guy. The blonde girl is her partner but she secretly works for a counter-terrorist organization investigating the UMDC. As you solve cases, a huge conspiracy gradually unravels about a cult leader trying to bring about the Great Reset. The game tricks you into thinking the director may be the cult leader, but it's actually the MC. She's a complete schizo who orchestrated everything to get revenge on the people who killed her brother and who were either the victims or perpetrators of every previous case. The MC you played as is her unaware split personality created to be above suspicion and the director was another personality who never existed and was all in her head. The MC's partner is caught completely off guard, MC enacts the Great Reset (hacking and revealing the personal information of everyone in Japan so that nobody will be able to hide their crimes like her brother's killers did) and vanishes. The case is technically solved but the partner quits the force and travels across the world to find the MC again, which she does and the game ends with them meeting and the MC, still with split personalities, welcoming her to the new UMDC.tl;dr: their relationship in a sequel would be incredibly interesting
>>287098469Damn that's quite a bomb to drop at the end of a game.Good thing I don't have personal information online.
>>287098999There's a lot of foreshadowing, it's a fun game to replay with full knowledge but it also makes it hard to talk about.
>>287096956I liked the gameplay, combat is braindead simple but the stages were chaotic
>>287097213Kemco isn't indie it's just a kusoge publisher
