What are some of the worst examples of “character bloat”? (constantly introducing new characters instead of developing the ones you already have)
Please care about bleach...
Most Kirara series have a main cast of 3-5 characters and typically only introduce further characters once in a while. In this series it felt like a new character every two chapters.
>>287099196This has been a problem since Water Margin, the massive cast of characters is one of its most famous features but a lot of them are practically footnotes at best.
DanDaDan is currently experiencing it. It's not as egregious as series like Bleach, but the ballooning cast really feels like it's beginning to detract from the main appeal of the manga.
At least everyone in Bleach is eye pleasing, now let's talk about OP and how all the actuall cool characters are forever in the background
