They definitely become more appealing in a visual novel because there is a guaranteed ending with them but it's a bit of a tougher sell in a romcom anime/manga because all their development can end up in a gutter if they don't end up winning.Like the others have said, the chase makes for a fun dynamic (especially if it pays off properly) and the tsundere usually has a scene with them reconciling their feelings even if they can't fully honest with it. The older I get the more I realize I like tsunderes but the flat and bratty ones who get physically violent still don't get any favors from me
