I have no idea if he has the chops for actual good writing because all his stuff is hilariously coombrained but it might just be because it's porn, and I don't think he could maintain the art quality on a serialized schedule so it would have to be a one shot probably, but every once in a while Asanagi will draw something that looks surprisingly good in a non-horny way. There's at least a couple panels in his demon queen x goblins work that make me think he could do a cool dark fantasy work. Or even horror; the stuff he draws is halfway there already considering his tastes. The main problem is that even if he can rein in his female designs to an acceptable level I don't think he can make a good male character design to save his life.
