Funny. A few months back I positted a random theory that Devil Fruit powers reside in the hearts of those that eat them, transforming them with spirals and such, which undoes itself when the consumer dies and the power moves on to the new fruit. Perhaps Blackbeard simply ate Whitebeard's heart before the power / devil spirit within it moved on to the next fruit, which somehow bypassed the normal limit of single fruit power only.This was shot down in thread because Trafalgar Law, a character I dislike and generally forget to think about, has already removed the hearts of people with Devil Fruits via his own power (which came from a heart-shaped fruit no-less). We can see that they look the same as another heart, so that goes out of the window. Fair's fair.But now we see that some characters really DO have messed-up unnatural looking hearts, which seem to be tied in to the powers they have via a devillish or demonic bestowal. I just think it's a bizarre and funny coincidence that my weird theory seems to have looped back around, being right for the wrong reasons and wrong for the right reasons. That's my blog post.
