I for one was an anime only back when S1 premiered, and was sold on the idea of the sense of wonder of how magic and the world was presented first and foremost in episode 1. It's not exactly the strongest section of the source material either, but between what the anime chose to skip and the way what it did show was portrayed, it felt like a total shore until Begaritt.
