So I understand it's just to preserve the status quo, but Takagi should have absolutely been ascended by now, right? So many cases are solved with him present, not to mention he defused a bomb and a lot of other things. Yeah, I know he's gotten into trouble a couple of times, but literally every time he's paired with Megure or Sato and Conan is there, a case is closed.

I hate how frequently Conan, but also others, are using phones now as an excuse. I get that it makes sense, as phones are now omnipresent, but where earlier Conan had to get creative with stuff (or use the dart) to impersonate someone or make someone else solve the case, he now just says he got a call or text from Shinichi/Kogoro or whatever and everyone buys it. Boring.
