It's been over, welcome to the life the haruhi and hyouka fans live, through for what it's worth, anime amagi ends completely different from the light novel, in the novel the princess straight up forgets because they didn't miraculously manage to fix the park in time, it's supposed to serve to motivate the lead to lock in and make that girl happy and keep her memories for once. Haruhi was very vague in the novels it follows with loose adaptions ending on a "and the weird times continue" type of appeal, Hyouka ends on a "this is just getting started" as Oreki starts to realize he's caught feels for Chitanda as her showing him how she lives was her way of basically daring him to ask her out in earnest. Kyoukai no Kanata and Phantom world are entirely different stories from the novels and Kyoani bought the rights to novels thus the authors had no real motivation or reason to keep working on themso for what it's worth just pretend there is no novel, kyoani doesn't own Amagi's novels but the author is not going to write, haitus tends to mean they grew bored of the story and it's not omega popular enough for the publisher to force them to keep drawing, through in Haruhi's case the author took the royalty checks and ran
