Was it ever confirmed if Yui had actual autism?

I dunno, you look at that girl and tell me she's normal.
>>
>>287198722
Autism doesn’t exist in japan
>>
Yeah, the anime skipped the arc in the manga where Yui sees a psychiatrist and gets an official diagnosis. Kind of a weird thing to include in the first place if you ask me.

In any case she would have ADHD not autism.

Probably closer to ADD with mild intellectual disability and perfect pitch.

>mild intellectual disability
yui-chan is smart!

Why is anime so allergic to confirming that characters that are clearly autistic-coded are, in fact, autistic?
>>287200223
Aspergers and ADHD usually go hand-in-hand because they have overlapping symptoms and Yui has all of them.
>Daydreamer
>Easily distracted
>Very fidgety
>Can't stay still
>Obsessive-compulsive
>Frequently misses social cues
Kakifly is a coward for not just making it officially canon already.

I've met plenty of aspies, and most them didn't tick any of those boxes except missing social cues.
AD*D does overlap with the 'tist spectrum in the sense that both are characterized by abnormal sensory processing and executive dysfunction, but the symptoms present very differently, and the typical medication (amphetamines) can mitigate AD*D symptoms pretty well, but doesn't help against most of the secondary symptoms of autism.
