We all know Oda is good at reincorporating old writing into newer arcs, as he keeps re-reading his own work to find anchor points to connect plotlines. Not everything he is writing is something he had in mind for decades, but he is very good at making it look that way, and his style of writing lends itself to that very well. There's a reason he's been the top dog mangaka for a while, but that reason't isn't meticulous planning, but skillful connecting.But again, yeah, obviously right now Imu has been in his mind for many, many years. I'm just saying we shouldn't 100% expect that everything that is important now is going to be important to the endgame. Maybe the One Piece is actually preceeding the void century, and all the void century stuff is just the prelude to a different plotline we are not yet aware of. Again, I do not believe this to be the case, I just think people's expectation of what the One Piece ending is going to be like is a bit too ironclad.Again, yeah, Imu is probably going to be endgame relevant.
