That role has consistently gone to Sakiko and Anon. Taki tries to keep her from getting hurt, but that also puts Tomori into stasis. Tomori needs to expand her boundaries, open herself to getting hurt, and make what she cares about into reality. Sakiko pulled her along into dangerous, wondrous new territory, and Anon prods her into exploring more or herself while steadfastly staying by her side. To borrow the use of Demian from Mujica, Tomori is the bird, and Taki has consistently protected the egg surrounding her.
