I read the whole thing in a week without knowing the plot. Solid 2/5. It’s hard to believe this is popular given the zero character development.Luffy is a lackluster lead with a boring "status position" goal. The art was good pre-timeskip, but now it’s just cluttered reaction faces and copy-pasted spreads. The plot makes no sense despite a good background world. Every arc is identical: * Straw hats land and get separated. * Evil guy rules the island. * Luffy eats food, person who gave food gets slapped. * Luffy loses twice, gets a flashback power-up, wins in one punch."Pirates" aren't a threat; we never see them do anything evil unless they work for the WG. Oda ran out of ideas, so now we get "shounen slop" Devil Fruits that don't relate to anything. There’s no rational logic just boring dialogue followed by "making shit up" for the sake of action. The crew doesn't feel like a family, they’re people on a cruise who occasionally exchange a sentence. When did Chopper and Franky last speak? Do Nami and Robin ever talk without Sanji there? Jimbei doesn't even fit in. For a long series, individual interactions are non-existent outside of the usual pairings (Zoro/Sanji, Usopp/Nami).They are supposed to be a CREW, yet they’ve only had one real team fight. Most of the time they just do their own thing and go back to their rooms. Sex sells and people eat it up, but not even BnHA was this bad at telling a story.
>>287215633Its popular because it's long and because its lasted long it must be popular
>>287215633>in a weekphysically impossible even if you forgoe sleep
I can't believe you read one piece and you don't even understand their friendship, its literally hammered again and again, end of alabasta x scene, sabaody, return to new world, wano kuni ect.And yes they do feel like a found family that's literally the point he'll half of them are literal orphans.
