The highs are really good, even better than Bones with SE, I would say, but Soul Eater overall had incredibly good consistency in its production values from Bones' A-team. Even the filler episodes where they are just padding out the story look great. Fire Force season 1 was pretty incredible in its visual style though. If they could have maintained that the whole way through, I would say it is better than SE in quality. Sadly they couldn't keep it up.

I really, really hope Ohkubo found himself satisfied with his work, because I, myself, was very satisfied. The series itself as a standalone is fantastic, and the way it ties itself into another, older, also pretty great, series is just the absolute creme on top.
