I just caught up with Boku no Suki na Hito ga Suki na Hito, which I haven't read for a year or so, since I heard things were HAPPENING. I'm still not a Myaa fan, Mahiru is gorgeous and fun but her character is written as basically a big get-out-clause because when she loses she can default to 'I care about friendship and having fun more than making it romantic', cope that way, and it'll be valid because the writer introduced her crush late and kept it low stakes. Asahi is the best girl, she's the most equal and compatible with MC and their partnership is the best, her advantage of Mahiru is that the she and the MC are peas in a pod. Pilvi is whatever and Adashino is for rough doggystyle and pronebone in her bunny magician costume.

Thanks to the anon who recommended Steel of the Celestial Shadows a couple threads back. I don't absolutely love it, but it's pretty good. I'm up to date with it at least. I definitely prefer KasaneMy biggest problem is the pacing. Half of every volume seems to be dedicated to someone's backstory, meaning it moves at a snail's pace. The art and panelling are great, though, and the twist at the end of the first volume was badass. Figuring out what the deal with Ryuudo's power is what has kept my interest the most, but I'll be pissed off if the metal controlling and the gift severing aren't related.

Random thoughts on the ongoing stuff I'm keeping up with.West Tokyo Metal Bros is okay, I guess. It hasn't really done anything impressive so far. The only noteworthy thing about it is how much of a copyright minefield it tries to be.Enigmatica is the prettiest garbage I've ever seen. It's like dedicating insane artistic talent to a teenager's idea of a good story. Extremely stylized and detailed yet rarely in a way that actually looks good and not just pretentious, and with some extremely poor character and plot writing. The flow of the panels and pages is pretty bad too.Goodbye My Idol has hit full queer territory and I don't really mind. The comedy is still pretty good and the characters are nice. I think I see where the author is going with it, but if anything having a clear direction established from page 1 is a plus. The only annoying thing is how much the tiny emoji faces get spammed. The Trembling Right Hand is a case study in how not to write a mystery. After a surprisingly good first chapter it just starts ramping up twist after twist like the story is just rushing towards the finish line. It's probably ending soon at least. The Creepy and Freaky is currently a little bogged into a more action heavy arc but it should feel less bad on a reread, and fucking around has always been what the manga did. Hopefully it ends soon (and poorly, seeing what will happen later) and we can get back to the other side of the story. The catgirlification orgasms chapter was still kino.Omae ga Yattandaro! needs to do something with the big tits delinquent next to balance out the cast but the tanned one is still best girl by a mile. Still I hope it goes for the harem ending (as if).

I've been trying to buy the first volume of Yaotome x2 for a while now. It seems like it's out of print for some reason. The first time was getting it from Yesasia, second was ordering it directly from Rakuten. Both times it was canceled for not being available. Ordered a used version just yesterday but I have no idea why a volume of such a recent manga would be completely out of print. As for reading, I just finished Hell Teacher Nube last night. Probably won't immediately start a new series. I still have a few I'm in the middle of reading. I had been neglecting Yama no Susume so I may just read a bit of that before starting anything new.
