50% of the running time of comedy anime is spent lampshading the joke we already understood. Cutting these redundant explanations out would categorically improve every show which does it.Why are nips two generations behind in terms of humor?

Jokes that were pretty funny on the page, where you read them quickly, get stretched out to fill the episode slot and loaded with overbearing cloying music until all the comic tension evaporates. I've bee noticing this for years.
