At least this episode was more eventful, and Wit had more opportunity to show off their animation, but the writing it still the weakest link.I like the contrast between the magical aspect with its mythical gods and human incarnations, a populace kept in the dark, and an otherwise modern-styled secret agency as the gatekeeper between two worlds, but I hate every single character so far.It's like they were all contrived to be perfect helpless victims or humiliated white knights, and the script has to twist itself into knots to heap as much suffering onto them as possible. Isn't that tragic? Please cry.

This show is so emotionally manipulative; much like Violet Evergarden, it just unloads drama, past traumas, and sad things on you completely unprompted, without any buildup or setup. I have no idea who any of these people are, nor do I have any emotional attachment to them. Give me something to care about here before you try to sour my mood, show.
