That is, he wanted to do high fantasy from the start, but the editors wanted darker fantasy, so he handed in the first couple chapters, they gave it the go ahead, and then it was too late to claw it back when he immediately sprung the adventures guild and elves on them.

He had arguably less trouble with three third-classers at once than Isana alone.

Despite moving to a Generic Japanese Fantasy setting Zig and Siasha have never truly ran into someone on par with them despite it being something that should be dime a dozen. There are no mages on par with Siasha despite magic being a day to day thing there and there now finally ONE fighter on par with Zig and she needs a bullshit power to even keep up.One of the biggest disappointment was Zig running into his old comrade and just no diffing the guy nor having any fanfare about it.Someone seems to really wants this to be a shitty generic fantasy manga but someone else keeps wrangling him into something approaching quality you can see it with how Zig keeps attracting young cute girls while they're also the only ones with any strength.Oh well I'll keep reading because it's enjoyable enough but it just sucks to see any potential squandered
