I do think there is credence to what I'm saying because I can see the through lines, but I'm not sure.

part 2 is all meta it's basically just fuji expressing his feelings about the reception to part 1 and how his life has changed. asa, yoru, famine and death all represent different feelings that fuji has about chainsawman the manga. a huge chunk of the manga just has shit that makes no sense and it constantly breaks the rules and foreshadows stuff that goes nowhere because it's taking the piss out of part 1. the most blatant part is when the fire punch devil shows up, lights a giant building on fire which is a reference to one of the most iconic scenes in fire punch, possesses a guy that looks exactly like agni and starts turning everyone into chainsaw man clones which causes a right wing uprising. all of this is just meta commentary on the reaction to chainsawman, like the president of argentina using pochita as his mascot and citing his dead dog. the opening bit where denji goes to school is a direct reference to the End of Evangelion bit where it becomes a slice of life. it's symbolic of your art becoming commercial
