Blackbeard is the final opponent because he and Luffy can only be king by taking Imu’s hand. And this secret is why Roger spent the last of his days dying for love.
This chapter really made Imu and the 5 elders like the good guys. It’s really strange because things like Kuma and Slave escalator come to mind, yet they act like victims of Davy Jones and Joyboy. Maybe the Void Century really wasn’t Black and White like now.

One thing Oda has always had in my opinion over other shonen authors is his group dynamics aka SH dynamics, villain groups dynamics etc etc. Imu talking to the elders and the elders having varied opinions was really great writing and in my opinion the highlights of this chapter wasnt the hype and aura moments, it was Imu talking to Warcury and then slowly coming to realization that hes already in Void Century 2.0 and he has to act before its too late, its really cool buildup for him. I am loving that Oda is finally beginning to give Imu characterization instead of just being the edgy blob
