They were formed by Brave Group and originally conceptualized to be a lot closer to actors doing 3d motion capture making (scripted) comedy anime skits on youtube. The skits were the main first draw, and then they'd stream chat streams and game streams while in-character. They were the first vtuber group to really start taking off on the jap side of youtube but scammy company shenanigans happened
