So I just finished Book of Circus it was touching but quite depressing. At times it also seems "edgy" as in unnecessarily dark/cruel. Was the Sebastian cuck scene really necessary? The revelation that the workhouse was abandoned made little sense to me. Obviously, it DID exist when the circus kids were there. It would be still justified from their perspective to work for "otou-sama" to repay his past kindness. I really liked Doll and it would have been easy to write her surviving the arc, instead of the Snake guy. Who also was pretty pointless to the plot (just like William...). Overall, still good. Better than Season 2 (which I didn't think deserved all the hate). Also, Ciel was incredibly cute.

From the kid's pov they're good guys and the cops who try stopping them (and get killed) are the bad guys. They also added a little scene of the circus members waving goodbye to Ciel at the end. Sounds cheesy but it always makes me tear up kek.
