Romcoms are way better when the couple has actual gremlin energy instead of 12 episodes of “uuuuh I can’t confess because destiny.” Give me chaos, give me misunderstandings that are actually funny, give me the girl going full tomato mode like this instead of whispering “baka” for the 400th time. If it keeps the pace up and doesn’t randomly pivot into melodrama in episode 9, it might actually be kino romcom instead of seasonal disposable fluff.
