I feel like there were a bunch of terrible magical battle harems that aired all in that 2015-16 span but it's kind of excusable when a show is shitty and generic because it's set out to be generic and the premise didn't justify a budget. Qualidea Code stuck out to me because it was genuinely trying to do something and was just a combination of having shit idea and bad execution

Every plotline that could have gone somewhere is either abandoned without comment or resolves in the most bullshit anticlimax possible. We've been setting up this character and their mysterious, plot-important past for the past 14 episodes? Lol nevermind, she's just delusional. This major villain has been tricked and lured into a trap that is specifically designed to kill him according to literally every rule and interaction we've been given? The resulting explosion not only doesn't kill him, now he's been fused with the NEVER MENTIONED superweapon we just decided is in the basement, go fight that instead. The incredibly annoying final boss's only motivation is to make the MC shoot him with a literal retcon gun so that he'll never exist? The MC refuses to do it for half the show, despite it continually causing problems, and then eventually does it anyway and it *doesn't even solve anything*. It wasn't even a trick by the villain, it just doesn't do what he thought it would.Its just subversion after subversion to the point that everythings made up and the points don't matter, not even the ending makes any sense. All of this built as a supposed sequel to the original E7 series that then 'subverts' that by ruining its beloved ending, its characters, making the psychotic villain of the original series correct and the protagonists wrong, etc while also continuously milking nostalgia to try and keep you from dropping the showIts DOGSHIT.

Other than the obvious trolls, half the people in this thread have barely seen 40 shows if your answers are genuine.There's genuine trash that even I didn't finish, like Kono Aozora and Gibiate, but of the ones I've struggled through Nogizaka Haruka Finale and Lamune come to mind, as does Toradora and Otonari Tenshi. Might as well add Ichigo 100% to the list too. When romcoms are bad, they are absolutely obnoxiously painfully bad. The number one spot goes to Hametsu no Mars, probably the only anime to deserve its rating on any amalgamation site anywhere.
