Koe no Katachi manga would be a solid 8/10 if it wasn't for the stupid movie arc and the silly divorce talks with Shoko's dad and his mustache twirling parents, everything else was great and grounded but those two plot points were very cliche, overly melodramatic, poorly thought out and rushed. As it stands the movie is superior because it doesn't include them.Yamada was the last good Kyoani director after the fire, too bad she went to Science Saru but to be honest Science Saru seems to be the most logical Kyoani successor. Their animation quality is on par if not better and they allow for more artistic expression.
