Talk about it, did you like it? What does the anime misses in your opinion? Why do you think its not as popular as other 00s shows?

It's mid.

It was comedy gold, but threw that out of the window to become generic mecha #4067.
Fumoffu was the best part of the entire franchise.
I never seen something that such a big dump on itself as fmp. It was a terrible decision.

Fumoffu invited retards who aren't invested in the real story.

As much as I liked Fumoffu, I agree. A contingent of the fanbase doesn't give a shit about the main plot/fight, they just want comfy sol adventures with Chidori. IV was a bad adaptation that was 5 years too late, but even if it delivered, it wouldn't have done well because its the point in the series where shit gets darker.

I enjoyed it, but when the lambda drive(?) was introduced, it kinda lost me. Seemed like it was magic vs. magic at that point and it could kinda do whatever the situation/plot demanded.
But it's been some time, so maybe I misremember that part.

Fumoffu & TSR were great, but honestly it's held on by very little.
Great as a kid entry point into mecha anime, but eventually you'll grow over it.

It's another school centric comedy anime with a very loose excuse for a plot.
The mech design was well above average and the animation wasn't too bad, but in the end it's essentially obvious tacticool built on the rule of cool.
Far more substance than shit like code geass but that's not a high bar.

I can't speak for the latest series/novel, too late I guess? I don't care enough to go back into it.

The thread "Is coffee good for you" pic did caught my attention, it's rare to get fanart that's pornographic but still manage to barely look acceptable.

Well, it's literally a plot-device powered by emotion (in the hands of a near-emotionless soldier), with shield and inertia cancellation that's pretty much tailored as a mech-only MC plot-armor.
Even if I'm told of the anti-lambda drive it's just an inevitable trope when something become too powerful.

First season made little sense for a series that tries to be so serious. On the other hand, I adored TSR.

Fumoffu isn't even good as a comedy.

Hey, it is.
Just not every episode and it can certainly say thanks to the animation quality.

See this.
Do what?

The fact that we will never have the finale of the series animated by the guy who directed TSR is something I still haven't come to terms with.

Why does she wear opantsu there?

I'm tired of eternal cliffhangers...
