In the distance, that day, when the star became music...A great ending to a great show. The quantity and quality of music, its integration into the fights, the sheer love given to the side characters, the constant nerd references, and the gradual build-up of the plot from Queen to Queen to Carol all made clear this is the kind of series that is simply fun because the people making it are having fun. I really hope the staff will be able to carry this passion into another project in the future, be it sequel, prequel, or a new successor to the proud battle idol tradition.However, I must seriously criticize that, all being said and done, the Alicepia Defense Force did not receive nearly enough headpats. Justice for our brave birbs!

I really like how Alice and the hags and Thoma literally live on in musessence itself. It's a great allegory of people living on in your good memories and in the things they did while also completing the show's setting and themes. Princession is such a clear hymn to life and art and self expression when you analyse it. In that sense Alicepia and the real world becoming one is saying you no longer need a special place where you're allowed to be yourself if we can make the whole world like that.

I'm honestly surprised it made it to bump limit, especially for a series that took a day or two to get any subs. Part of it was arguing about different anime though, which will hopefully die down once there's more episodes to think about. Interested in how the musical aspect will play into it. Creamy Mami was kind of a let down in that regard as it only had a couple of songs throughout its run and for a series with a pretty big idol focus its performance animation was lacking I felt. Hopefully we get a decent amount of well choreographed performances, plus the opening leads me to believe we'll have dimension hopping shenanigans like Flip Flappers (and Creamy Mami even).
I loved the ending. I’m a sucker for this kinda shit like Princess, Symphogear, Yuuki Yuuna — basically the true heirs of Saint Seiya (what it could’ve been without that washed-up drunk messing it up).

Looking back at the final few episodes, the role of the queens in the whole thing is kind of interesting. Clearly they could act independently of Naviyu to the point of just leaving him and materializing on their own if they wanted, but what they chose to do was give him the power to carry out his plan, while also giving the Princesses any support they needed in trying to stop him. It's like after their own attempts failed they just decided to back everyone at once in hopes that one of them would come up with a working solution.

GC so far seems insanely amateurish in a lot of aspects, from premise to pacing, and all the good thematic elements just remind me that Symphogear already did it better. At least it's yuri so I'll keep watching but man it just oscillates so wildly between interesting stuff and just atrocious realisation.

Finished episode 46 (45 was beyond peak), love their songs to Navue. But goddamn it, Kaneko and Aisora just had to make it Wild Arms 2 again. Though, Aisora did it already with Knight Blazer in Nyaruko's Henshin.They really love the second one a lot among all the Wild Arms over there. Also Elfnein joke in the post episode preview.
