I've read this manga since ch1 and I've never perceived it to be woke. Regarding the wide cast variety or character types, it's no different than what I've seen of other magic/mahou/little witch series (harry potter, little witch academia, magus bride and more). There's a white, black, asian, etc char in all 3 of those series too. I think it just comes with the territory when you gather a bunch of witches from around the world. Now as for the author, I dunno anything about her but i guess she's super woke. My fav char in this manga is Olrugio - i have stumbled into degenerate shippers pairing olrugio with qifrey cuz theyre like the only two main adult chars. I REALLY hope they don't go to a typical magic academy route like in most (native) isekai fantasy series.the magic system is kinda shallow and uninteresting. it feels like it doesn't require mastery at all. all you need to do is draw the very simple arrangement properlyand that ED theme is ear cancer.
