Another one that ruined itself in the last act.
This one is pretty jarring too.
It would be easy fixing it by having the dad or the group of old hags going with the protagonists and than helping her dealing with that abusive guy.
As it was framed, the story made it look like “its okay to let your daughter to go alone in a distant city where she has to deal with a violent and abusive adult”.
She just got lucky protagonist plot armor kicked in, no one was stopping that violent bastard to beat her up.
It is a dangerous moral!
And it could’ve been fixed by just having her dad CQC the bastard or the army of hags being there too .
