Why are seinen anime so rare in 202X? I'm not talking about SoL manga that happen to be published in a seinen magazine but the more mature/serious stuff like Orb and Pluto.

Dorohedoro is airing right now. Golden Kamuy and Darwin Incident aired last season. And that's if you ignore all the other seinen stuff that you (probably) say doesn't count from last and this season like>Oshi no Ko>Medalist>MF Ghost>Kirei ni Shitemoraemasu ka>Witch Hat Atelier>Liar Game>Snowball EarthPlus Ikoku Nikki which is josei. And probably more I'm missing. Seems fairly common to me.

most of the time seinen is not really any more "mature," it's just the same thing except the love interests are promiscuous, which is an easy way to trick people into thinking it's DEEP
