>>287349495I am not really a fan going to UC once again, but I guess 08th MS Team does have some qualities that make it suitable for a live-action adaptation. One thing that comes to mind from that decision is that the director and writers probably don't care enough about Gundam to put in any real exploration of ideas. That's totally understandable, but it's probably not going to produce anything that interesting. I hope that they ask Bandai-Sunrise for help with the music since the music in Gundam has been rather good throughout the years.I'm willing to give it a chance, but I am expecting a completely forgettable 5/10 movie.
I would unironically adapt iron blooded orphans if given a choice. 08th MS Team is way too grounded while Iron Blooded has the best of both worlds of Gundam.The story is very simple enough and you could simplify it even further to a point that you can fit the entire season 1 into a 2hr movie.
