Why has Guyver never been all that popular?

I hated Mizuki's reboot redesign though, after basically stealing her OG design for mai OC waifu).I heard manga scanslations were tightly controlled by a legalfag scan group who would ask for proof of raw purchase before sharing, and hid per-user watermarks in the releases to cut you off if you leaked them. That probably starved off Western popularity after a while. (It seems to be on MD these days though, knock on wood.)

>>287353384Honestly I live the first movie more, the fights are better in the second and it has david hayter yeah but idk i just like the first one more for some reason, it does seem kind of weird that it being a manga that was not available in the west got a movie adaptation in the west, but the 90's were weird like that for some reason, similar to the hnk movie
