I kind of agree. The constant 3 year hiatuses mid arc are unbearable and the boat arc is plain simply terrible. Plus Gon already meet Ging, Kurapika already fought the Ryodan and Killua already found what it was he wanted to do. Is there even anything else to the story?

It’s always hilarious when supposed fans or former fans of the series call the current arc bad. It should be the other way around. Most of Hunter was baby Shonen writing up until maybe the palace invasion. If I wanted to read Togashi’s baby Shonen writing, I’d just read Yu Yu Hakusho since that’s more entertaining. I’d say this arc is when things finally got well written on a consistent, serious level.

The hunter exam, yorknew city, and greed island arcs were all decent but the "BEST ARC EVER" chimera ant arc was fucking dogshit. Fucking horrendous pacing and it ruined the manga.

Netero's son has some agenda, and can place nen curses that can kill the target even if they're a prince protected by a Guardian Beast.
