Reuenthal’s arc is the best, final ending arcs were weaker and the buildup arcs in the middle were great. Might go watch Die Neue someday.

There was absolutely no way for the Free Planets Alliance to win except for the government to get it's shit together ONE TIME and exchange the Iserlohn Fortress for a few decades of peace (at the start of the show) and get their shit together AS FAST AS POSSIBLE while the Empire decayed further and Reinhard has less opportunities for his purge and take over. Also, Phessan should've helped the FPA a lot more than it did since the fight was so unfair to begin with, there was no way they could've sustained their "Dominance" without the balancing act.AND EVEN THEN, with all that help, it's up in the air if they could've done it, they literally don't even have the population to fight the Empire, much less anything else, they needed a couple generations of development to be in equal footing
