Give it to me straight anons. I feel like for the past few years manga and anime as a whole has dipped in quality or just notoriety. My assumption stems from the low traffic on /a/. “Experts” say that anime has never been bigger but at the same time I feel like the quality and maybe even the core otaku fan based has disappeared or as a whole the industry is dying because of the variety of choices we now have such as Manwha, Chinese anime, adult cartoon animations and Vtubers. Is it really true they have all moved over to Vtubers? It just seems more popular and active with both normies and otaku losers maybe because of the “idol effect”. I just see a bunch of SEA monkeys that you used to see be all of over idol anime and otaku stuff but now it’s all just orbiting their favorite Vtuber stuff instead of a anime character or their favorite show.
this site is dead because of phoneposters who use words like "normies"
1. Because you're not a kid anymore. Your optimism is dead and you've seen how the sausage is made.2. Otakuism has been drowned out by soulless normalfaggots.3. Overexposure. When there are hundreds of choices immediately available, you don't have to appreciate any one of them. Just consume.tl;dr the magic is gone.
