Was I just dumb for being unable to find mangascans and fansubs in 2002-2005? I was a fan of anime back then but couldn't' find subs or scans and didn't' know they existed. I do recall wanting to find online episodes of Digimon around that time. And I did rent anime on vhs lol
You had to be on the right forums and IRC channels that allowed linking pirate sources.
>>287375699well what about mangascans lol
>>287375753Yes.
>>287375625>Was I just dumb
Well you had to look for them. I stumbled upon onemanga after going through torrents of finished series. Weeklies was a whole new world.
>>287375827I just didn't know online manga was a thing. With anime I kinda figured because I could watch music videos online.
>>287375625you should've tried this...https://letmebingthatforyou.com/BingThis/watch%20digimon%20online free
>>287375916Bing didn't exist yet.
>>287378614https://www.lmgt.com/?q=watch digimon online free
>>287378780Google existed and become popular around that time. But there were no anime streaming sites.
>>287378888I don't remember the dates that well...maybe it works by 2007.
>>287375625Yes, you were.
I miss DC++back when piracy was easy over clearnet and companies were too retarded to catch up until the busted pirates started ratting out easy ways to get shit
>>287375625you could get fansubs and watch them on Real Player in those days, it just took a little effort
>>287378917Yeah, by 2007 there were some sites where you could watch anime using the flash plugin or real media plugin.
>>287375625The very early 2000s were a bit tricky since it was all scattered around IRC, Usenet, several different P2P networks, and private FTP servers, but by 2003 we already had centralized sites like AnimeSuki, Scarywater and BakaUpdates, so yes, at that point you were just dumb.
