I'm tired of people talking about iyashikei and "feel good" shows, let's talk about whatever would be the OPPOSITE of that.What are your favorite "feel bad" shows?Just something that makes you feel like shit.For me it's probably the Kikoushi Enma ova from 2006.It's based on a manga by Go Nagai so big fucking surprise, all of his stories can probably end up in this thread.But the original is actually more funny, while this ova is more of like a remake loosely based on it and it's fucking grim, nothing good happens in it AT ALL, if will just actively make your day worse by watching it and probably make you depressed because the story doesn't go the way you'd expect.But I kinda like that, it's unusual.So I sometimes like to rewatch it when I'm in the mood for a bad time.Anyone else has shows like that for them?

For me it's Alien 9 and Victory Gundam, based purely on the emotional impact of their endings. Honorable mentions to Harmony, which I guess people think is kinda shit but which I was intrigued by, and the first 20-episode run of Rayearth, also largely because of its ending.
