Post isekai or adventurer slop. I don't want to be intellectually challenged or emotionally invested while I slurp ramen and down beers for dinner. I just want to be mildly entertained by a ridiculous premise that has monsters, magic, demi humans, and an abundance of fan service.

I'm very much hoping that's not actually the case and we're just doing the old classic "make shit seem as grim and hopeless and sorrowful as possible as much as you can at the end before the upswing where things become good again", but time will tell. As much as I just called it despair bait, I want to have faith that there's an actual legitimate reason behind it all (like what I just mentioned) and it isn't just the mangaka throwing a fit and pissing his (soon to be) 6 years of hard work down the drain for no good reason.
