When Naruto asks where Kaguya came from the sage says it doesn't matter.Databook says Kaguya was the first human to have chakra (whether this qualified for her to eat the fruit of the divine tree or obtaining it afterwards is ambiguous) The alien shit is literally just Bort exclusive stupid add-on lore. This is way more in line with gnostic theology of abstractions and corruption from divinity. The divine tree/10 tails creates the means to spread divinity among humanity, and Kaguya is like the demiurge that immediately creates, her three sons Hagoromo, Hamura and Black Zetsu are archons that introduced inequity with all these powers that would obviously lead to endless strife. Both Hagoromo and Black Zetsu each claim to have approached the chakra transmigrants of Indra and Ashura. There's a whole other layer of fuckery that is barely broached but hinted at. Way more interesting opportunities for intrigue than fuckin aliens.

They go on forever with these series and when they have completely lost the track, they pull out aliens/the truth is that this word is born from a post apocalyptic event/it was a dream all along.It would be different if those elements would have been placed from the beginning or so, that would make the difference from an asspull to a well motivated turn of the story.
