Age-old question, little sisters or big sisters? In this particular case I am more inclined to the imouto side.
Both.
>>287420134Daughter
Both are very great in their own way.
>>287420852Elaborate. Little sisters evoke fatherly instincts to protecc, while big sisters characters often have motherly behaviors. I think big sis lovers probably have some mommy issues.
>>287421586Big sister characters are more often bullies than motherly.
>>287421781Yeah, maybe some do. I think it is more accurate to call those mature-women or senpai-in-life type big sisters instead of motherly type?
>>287421586Protect both. Sex both.
>>287421586Nee-sans have a stereotypical behavior and 'energy' (as the kids say) all their own, they are separate from mothers. You have to self insert as a younger boy or see through the eyes of the younger male character to really enjoy them, imouto you can still enjoy as an oji-san.
>>287420134Suba Hibi is actually interesting and it's sad that retards have tainted it's reputation by glazing it (probably without even reading). If you think it sucks because it's overrated by reddit faggots but haven't read it yourself, you're objectively an even bigger faggot.
For me it remains Nee-sans.
>>287420134As the older of two brothers, it has to be onee-san for me.
>>287423846
>>287420134Yuki is just perfect, of course it's onee-sans.
>>287423283No, I've just finished reading it and wanted to post it on /a/, but I needed something anime-related to do it so I made an imouto-onee thread.I really liked it, and I think I am my own invention was the best chapter. That chapter is one of the most unique and creative stories I've read. The chapters from the second half were also ok, but I don't like the fact that they made Takuji a complete antagonist and completely phased out Zakuro and other characters from the first half.
>>287420852>>287421458
I don't like reading stuff where the main heroine is used goods + raped, I would of read it though.
>>287425257>I don't like the fact that they made Takuji a complete antagonistHe didn't seem like one to you before?
>>287425469The brown hair girl on the left in op pic is not used goods and does not get raped and she is the main heroine.
>>287420134Twin sistersIn fact, How does one call a twin sister in japanese? I know imouto is younger and Nee-san older, but what about twin?
>>287420134I simply choose to be the middle child
>>287425607The younger twin calls the older twin Onee-chan, and the older calls the younger by her name.>sourceLucky Star, Clannad etc.
>>287422679This. and I also think I have a pretty unique fetish, I don't know how common it is so I will ask my felow oneechan enjoyers here. I have a fetish for the friend's older sister, especially when it's through the eyes of a shota. Like imagine being a shota and having a normal or a bully shota friend, then going to their home for a sleepover or whatever and getting in the bath of their jk oneechan with the friend or maybe even the mother or the imouto (even better when it's all of them together). There is just something so alluring about getting this sort of access to all the females of a family, like being a sort of parasite. Plus, there might also be lucky-pervert encounters all over. The oneechan, who has and probably will spend her entire life covering up her body, just takes of her clothes in the bath and you are one of the few men who will get to her see her like this (like her future husband or her brother). I also like the aspect where you sort of soft-cuck the brother and the father or hard-cuck, depending on how you imagine it.I also used to rp as an otokonko shota in sillytavern with a shota friend and his older sister and family but I just couldn't find a good model which could handle multiple characters all at once or maybe I was just too smooth-brained to make it work.
>>287426179>friend's older sisterAnd sister's friend. I still like NBR 'neighborhood-nee-sans' but obviously it doesn't have the goodness of the actual wincest nee-san sex; which is the best.
>>287425534What I meant is that they piled on him too much in the later chapters. In "I am my own invention", you see that he is also a victim in his own right and acts for reasons that are not entirely his fault, while what happens in the later chapters were as if it's telling you: "You should not feel bad for him because he is a creep, loser-otaku, crazy, absolutely no one cares about him, and you should instead watch tomosane, the real chad, and the real rightful owner of the body flirt with the girls." I do not hate tomosane and the later chapters, but I think it could be written better in various ways.
What do you guys think of Rokuhara?
>>287426525I also like a sister's friend once in a while, mostly because searching friend's sister usually brings up the inverse. I think it's criminal that my thing is not explored that much in anime, doujin, manga or hentai while there is an abundance of sister's friend stuff and normal oneesan stuff everywhere.
>>287420134Neither.
>>287426893Go back to your containment on /vn/
>>287427409>abundance of ... oneesan stuff everywhere.I wish, and much of what there is isn't of great quality. Imoutofags have it good in this regard.

>>287425257I finished Subahibi this year. And its amazingly now my favorite VN of all time. It’s an incredible masterpiece. The thing about SubaHibi is that it’s important to understand what it actually is.Subahibi is the best kind of story, because it exists as an answer to an impossible question. The thing is that before SubaHibi was Tsui no Sora: the End of Sky.The end of sky, is the worlds limit. But at the same time it is empty. It is the limit of the world because there is nothing more extreme in this world then to do what they did at the end, however it is also empty because there is no transcendent there. There is nothing to be found. It is just another ordinary moment in this world. The world itself is inescapable, even the seemingly extraordinary is in fact merely mundane. So Subarashiki Hibi exists to answer this question with a declaration:Beyond Tsui no Sora lies the wonderful everyday, Subarashiki Hibi. But what is it? How can we understand it?This is why he uses Witgenstein. The wonderful everyday is that when you kick of the ladder and live happily. But what does that mean? The transcendent — wasnt it supposed to be found at the end of sky?How can it be anywhere else, now that we have declared it empty.Astonishingly, the true final ending is Knocking on heavens door.Something that absolutely no one understood how amazing that epilogue is:At the end it goes full circle. It is all in truth a Kuukirikigaku Shoujo to Shounen no Uta: Kuukirikigaku, the voice of God, and the angel science of the beyond. And yet it is still unattainable because We don’t have our perfect eternal waifu living in our mind. It is knocking on heavens door, because if that was possible the world would already be heaven, it is really amazing that this is the motive, because that is actually the correct answer even in Christian theology. When I finished SubaHibi and understood all that, I cried for half an hour. It’s that beautiful

>>287423283I feel like there's a lot of criterias that determine whether you love Subahibi or not. It doesn't help that it completely changes genres midway through. It's a very polarizing VN where you either really fucking love it or hate it.My thoughts on it are that I really enjoyed DTRH2/IMOI/JW1-2. Not a big fan of LGI nor the sister chapter. I thought starting from DTRH1 was definitely a choice, I get it's to leave you in a false sense of security but I wouldn't say it's a good hook. It doesn't have to be, but it's definitely something to be wary of. I think there's a bit of elements that I really appreciate Subahibi for.>It's a reflection of the previous VN If Tsui no Sora's message was "Live because it's human desire to." then Subahibi was "Fill that life with desire and happiness". It's a good reflection when you read the second half with that reflection.>Selfcest tulpa romanceThis has got to be one of the best romance I've seen in any anime/VN. I get it's a bit one sided and a bit self indulgent but fuck man, I think the epilogue and JBW1/2 gave me straight diabetes. >DTRH2 + IMOIIt had some great tension, I wish IMOI was a bit longer and maybe slightly less edgier (the teacher scene had me straight fucking laughing with how absurd it was). It just doesn't feel grounded that Takuji manage to brainwash everyone with like a few predictions. Needed way more than 1-3 days. It's probably my favorite VN next to Muv Luv and Utawarerumono but because of the content, it's probably the least I'd recommend to anyone lol. It's amazing but you really need to be open-minded about it.
>>287427417Her turning surprise gay in LGI was so fucking stupid. Fuck, Zakuro going peak "omg he's too perfect for me" pissed me the fuck off. I get the symbolism but it's such a dumb way for Zakuro to drop Yuki just for that. >>287426739Yeah, I felt disappointed in that too. I get that It's the same person so it doesn't really matter since Takuji actually dies once he jumps off the roof. But in Kimika's end he does get a happier ending. I don't really think it's that "You should not feel bad for him" but that he's already made his choice and he's dead so it's Tomosane's story to finish. I think there should've been probably one more scene with Takuji though in JBW1/2 just to close it off though.

>>287429383I fucking hated knocking on heavens door. It completely ruins everything. How can you add such mundane and overused ending to a surreal work like subahibi. Tomosane becoming a salary man and going to work while having a imaginary girlfriend... I don't fucking want that. The story ends with tsui no sora II. Knocking on heavens door is just fan service garbage.
>>287439386Tsui no Sora 2 is the author being uncertain if the wonderful everyday exists. It says: „It may or may not.“It is left ambiguous. With knocking on heavens door, it just doubles down.It just says: no, the world actually is not mundane. The wonderful everyday does exist.Knocking on heavens door is a wonderful affirmation, it boldly declares the philosophical conflict solved instead of merely a possibility.I also don’t actually read SubaHibi strictly psychologically.I am a Christian, I know that demon possession is a real thing. From that perspective the plot of SubaHibi can actually be summed up with the biblical story that Takuji uses:„The demons went into the pigs and the pigs all drowned; but then the man became sane.“The pigs being all the human garbage who Takuji gaslight into killings themselves. The demon being Takujis spirit.Him being a salaryman is perfect. Because it is the ultimate mundane everyday life, one that resembles everyone’s everyday life. That is just how it’s going to be.But he still has the spirit of Yuki with him and she will never leave him nor forsake him.He is the happiest man in the entire world. Its a metaphor for salvation essentially. But it’s not quite there. Therefore it’s merely „knocking“ on heavens door, and isn’t yet already heaven.
Ok you've read Subahibi. Now it's time to move onto Tsui no Sora and the Big 3. And then you can graduate to the big leagues like Shizuku and Kizuato. Once you're finally able to write a paper about the cultural influence of the aforementioned you might be ready to try your hand at Fushigi Densha.

>>287436202I thought Subahibi was terrible, but it's "deep" enough that most dissent can be dismissed as "you're too dumb, you didn't get it man" so it can be hard to be taken seriously when criticizing it. I've read others' takes on the story and maybe there really is a good message at its core, but if so that message was buried under so much crude pointless shit that I have a hard time appreciating it. You don't need 10 hours of scenes like this to show a character is delusional.

>>287456381>spoilerYou had my hopes up and then you crushed them
>>287451321>literally replied with "You didn't get it man">>287451100Subahibi was great until it turned into a loop of the exact same series of events from different perspectives, with the most interesting characters being either forgotten about (Zakuro, Kimika) or consolidated (Yuuki, Yuki, the sisters) in favor of a story-ruining schizophrenia reveal. Seriously, imagine if 3/4 of the way through S;G it was revealed that both Mayuuri and Daru were Okabe's split personalities, that Okabe himself had been imagining all of the time travel shit after the trauma of Kurisu's death, that Suzuha and Feris were also schizo-chimeras, and that Lukako was actually his little brother the whole time. Every interesting element of the world, every interesting character and all of the mystery's intrigue: all of it just goes *poof*.Still, I'd give Subahibi a 6/10 overall for its art, music, and the early chapters. It shits the bed irrevocably in the latter half, but it's a fun ride regardless.Don't let anyone fool you into thinking it's a 2deep4u game, though. Yes, it quotes Wittgenstein and some classic literature, but being inspired by philosophers means nothing when your story's philosophy is as inane as "Fill your life with desire and happiness" (to quote another anon ITT). The only reason it connects so hard with a certain type of VN reader is because it packages the same old "Choose life :)" message with a sheen of symbolism and namedropped philosophers; it's like when you need to give a dog medication so you wrap it up in meat. Which isn't to say that a good story can't be written around such a simple message, but the depth must then lie in the plot or the characters. Subahibi, forgoing both, has only symbolism and emotions. If people love Subahibi because they emotionally connect with it, then great, but there's no defending it on a literary level.
>>287457162But you can sex her, isn't that enough?
>>287449491what if you're an ojisanimouto would be a hag
See Subahibi is whatever but this is why Tsui no Sora is so unquestionably good, from the first chapter you're told to question the notion that after every step you take the ground will be there to support you (but that's insane, there's no reason to believe the universe will just cease to exist and even if you make the argument that it theoretically could the idea that we should doubt whether or not the universe will still be here every step we take is absolutely insane!) and that very chapter ends with all of the "insane" characters being cleaned up nicely and the very sane and reasonable protagonist goes to bed the night before "oh no the whole world is going to end" which is so obviously just a case of one schizophrenic kid's hysteria and just before the clock strikes midnight the chapter ends, leaving you to confront the fact that what we choose to call the obvious reality really isn't based on anything concrete at all. Pepper in some dialogue about refusing to kill a baby despite cursing its birth, and some banter with Ayana at the end of the world and you've got a pretty good collection of ideas that mesh well.
>>287426739I absolutely agree with the Takuji pile-on in the later chapters feeling cruel and needless, but the way i see it, IMOI's alternate route is essentially Takuji and Kimika's story that belongs to them only. You found out their fears and see them at their most vulnerable when in other routes they seem cruel and unreasonable. So when it ends with them holding each other it feels like a private moment that only they will know. So when we move onto the Tomosane chapters, his POV is coloured by his innate hatred of Takuji, so the narrative is also coloured by this hatred and becomes overbearing. So for this reason i think the narrative is "unreliable" in this regard. Textually it keeps saying "Takuji is evil, he sucks" but if you look at it in the whole, Takuji was straight up not evil. He didn't kill anyone (intentionally, that bully died from his wounds on his own), he was genuinely trying to save his classmates, the most cruel thing he did was to a plush doll. Not to mention the scene in IMOI when he sees the moment between Zakuro and Yuki and leaves on the train, only to listen to his instincts despite his social anxiety and took a train back to try and talk to Zakuro, which feels like one of his most selfless moments >! Its just a shame it was too late !<I even feel like the game tries to hint at this because during one of Tomosane's chapters (Jabberwocky 1, i believe) when Tomosane was ranting about Takuji to Yuki, she out of nowhere says something along the lines of "Y'know, Takuji isn't a bad kid. There's some good in him" and its not really challenged, just moved on from.I do find it kind of depressing and a little antithetical to the game that the "main" route >! Kills him off in the end !< but i can kind of accept the fact that the alternative route of IMOI kind of acts as his "happy ending" even though its depressing as hell.
>>287421586And little sisters are for damaged pedos. See, judgement can go both ways.
>>287451100>>287451321Forget the forest, if you think that the point of this screen is merely that Takuji is delusional, then you didnt even see the trees.Subahibi is inherently not an anti-theological work. But instead it grapples with the idea of God in a pretty serious way. The thing is that while Takuji is delusional, his delusions are centered around finding meaning in religion. The highest moment one could but will not experience in any religion is to meet God face to face. That is the pinicle, the ultimate meaning.A moment that will change you forever. However to Takuji it is a mockery: God is merely the Big guy who runs the show. It is essentially the image of an uncaring God obsessed with himself. The meeting also cuts short after that because Takuji can not bear his image, even though there is no image. If you think that this is delusion then you understood nothing.I think the best example of that is the crucified Christ mocking Zakuro. The irony is that Zakuro was broken by suffering too much and fell into delusion. However, the crucified Christ even just psychologically symbolizes ultimate meaning: take up your cross and follow me.But Zakuro now stands there: with her own cross. And to her the crucified Christ itself is a mockery: why should she follow? There is just pain and unbearable suffering, and she can not go on.Zakuro says: why does this happen to me? I am innocent!God does not help her, he passes her over and gives her to her own delusions; leading to her death.I actually interpret SubaHibi through the Bible passage that Takuji quotes:The Legion went into the pigs, and the pigs all drowned. But the man became sane.God gave over Zakuro to her delusion — so that she would kick off Takujis Madness utterly. Therefore the legion from him went into the pigs (the bullies and everyone involved) and they all ran down the slope and drowned(fell down the roof)But the man, Tomosane, became sane. And now he gained his wonderful everyday
