HxH newfag here, does the manga’s pacing get bogged down the same way it does in the anime? Felt like the first few arcs (for the most part) were fantastically paced, and then right before the palace invasion starts it hits a brick wall with the narrator even explaining things that he literally just explained. One of the worst examples was the narrator saying Killua’s thought, Killua’s VA saying the exact same lines, and then the narrator just going “yup and those were Killua’s thought”. Like this is Wano levels of filler, really brings down the arc and makes it just seem like a bland overexplained version of the Cell Saga.

The current arc is so weird. It has some of the greatest ambition in manga, but we may never see that ambition come to full fruition. For all we know we’re potentially reading the greatest arc in battle Shonen and because of the slow releases we may never confirm it. And that makes me question Togashi even more…like…did he know how ambitious this arc would be when he started it?
We're never going to see the end of HxH unless Togashi one day randomly decides to churn out chapters on a near weekly basis for like 3 or 4 years and I sincerely doubt that's going to happen. It's genuinely over

I legitimately think his current max speed is like 3 pages of inking a day, but he could probably safely average a page a day. Thats more like monthly speed.The only way to be faster is for Togashi to have a main artist and stick to writing and drafting like many manga groups, but he’s too prideful for that, and I don’t see that changing.
