>Final episode shows an episode preview for a season that doesn't and will likely not exist.>It's been five years. Why do studios do this?
>>287438328Ixion saga DT did this but they tell you is just a joke at the end of it, but i wish it was real
>>287438328Because audiences are contemptably stupid and will inevitably get their hopes up.
>>287438328Bros... it still hurts...
>>287439442i mean this was in the manga so its not really dvps fault
>No Continue
>>287439442There's no time more ripe for a Soul Eater remake that's actually faithful to the manga, to be fair.
>>287439442how does this apply?just watch soul eater nigga its thats shrimple
>>287438328it literally says "No Continue" right there
>>287439687because the soul eater anime stops following the manga in the second season
>>287439640>>287439850it's japanese, so it actually means のcontinue, or "continue of" although it's grammatically incorrect in both japanese and english because it's an unfinished clause
>>287439850It was only supposed to be a song title, not the future of this anime. I guess they doomed themselves though.
>>287438328It still hurts for oda Nobunaga no yabou.>>287439497And this, I wanted more cat and gyaru.
>Creator fucking dies
>>287441146Was manga end an artists fanfic or what?
I feel like most seasons end on “the adventure is just beginning! :D “ nowadays just in case
>>287441299>just in caseExactly, because now nobody knows when can a sequel be greenlit.Industry is adapting, even novel and manga authors are preparing for possibility of axe from the start when outlining the end of the second LN volume (typically fourth or fifth for manga)
>>287438328Five more years, bro.
>>287438328Great OP butthe manga was/is better.
>>287439667Crazier shit has happened. David Production has thrown the idea to the internet, now we just need to see if the bastards actually follow up in the next few years or not.
>>287438328Doesn't fall in that category, but I liked this one. If it was an isekai it' would've been mega popular.
>>287441299 Yeah, it's basically the new industry standard safety net. Studios don't want another “read the manga lol” backlash so they just tack on an open-ended “our journey continues” montage with the full cast smiling at the horizon. If it tanks, hey, it's thematically complete. If it sells BDs or trends on JP twitter for 48 hours, boom, sequel hook already installed. It’s less about artistic intent and more about keeping the IP warm in case a producer finds loose change in the couch cushions three years later. Modern anime endings aren't conclusions, they're option contracts.
