I realized there's nothing I can do to stop the AI or change the minds of people who support it. The reasons why it's harmful are evident at first glance, for someone who can understand it no explanation is required, for some who can't no explanation will be sufficient. AI is not as clean as actual art, it has significant artifacting in a way that just makes it look bad on a pixel by pixel level. AI will never be perfect
There is a lot of steps in animation, you could let AI do 100% of the rough sketches, story boarding, backgrounds, etc... and do the final touches by hand, it is a tool overall.

Often they don't even involve an actual 2D animator in the process, and just staple a flat holographic texture to the model.Actual animators are only necessary for a minority of production, specific shots and specific sequences. Most of the production is now handled by AD-san at their computer with some photo editing software. The beauty is that the 3D work underneath doesn't even need to be done well since it's all hidden and cut to 12.5fps by the end anyways.

What it does to the brain is wire it into consuming short disposable format and the negative effect of this will be not caring for long format shows. You already see this in theaters where people are on their phones scrolling. It's sad to say but if anime doesn't evolve China will just take over through sheer quantity of AI videos they produce.
