If you haven't seen it before, sure. I'm not a big fan of the anime original changes at all, but if nothing else it's an interesting change of pace tonally compared to Brotherhood.

That's why it was number one on MAL before Frieren came around. I think FMA brotherhood does deserve to be number one anime. It's not perfect 10/10, the show is made with the understanding that you watched 2003 that's why episode 1 is anime original showcase of all characters. Also it does kind of rush itself until divergence point with 2003 but still the show is still solid ride. It's a show everyone can agree is good. Only the biggest contrarian can say it is bad.

there are a few better anime than fma and frieren is one of them. but for mal standards is alright, is not like sangatsu or logh can be #1; slow character dramas arent popular with everyone. so yeah, maybe is the best anime that more people can like

I was able to watch like 30 or 40 episodes of it before dropping so it couldn't have been *that* bad.
But I remember it having boring characters (except the fire guy), shitty forced humor, childish themes (war bad!), and shitty comic book villains.
Maybe I should rewatch it with an open mind
